Here at Elixir Wax, we try to be conscientious, conservation-minded, and thoughtful in what we offer- and we hope our products help you to be so as well. Our wood finishes and other products are made only from natural ingredients and do not include petroleum products. Our packaging always employs recyclable or reusable materials. From start to finish, we minimize our company’s plastic footprint, in what we buy, what we use, and what we dispose of. And since this entire venture started with a collapse of our own backyard beehives, we want to help take care of our global pollinator community. We pledge to donate 1% of gross profits to the Pollinator Partnership to support their mission to promote the health of pollinators globally.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
What kinds of chemicals are used in Elixir Wax products?
We only use all natural oils and waxes – meaning no petroleum products are ever used. Everything we create is made from beeswax and a blend of other plant-based oils and waxes.
How should I wash my cutting board after applying Butcher Block Butter?
How much product do I need to get to complete a certain project?
Each wooden surface is very different. A lot depends on dryness and type of wood used and what grit it is sanded to. On average any of our products will cover 10-12 sq. ft. per ounce. We always love to hear from our amazing customers on their personal results- feel free to let us know in the comment box below!
Are your products food safe?
Our Butcher Block Butter is made entirely of food safe ingredients. All of the rest of our products contain certain oils that are considered food-safe once fully cured. So if you go through the entire suggested application process, all of our products are considered food-safe.
Are your products tested on animals?
Absolutely not!! None of our products have ever been tested on animals.
How long do your products last?
Where are you located? Do you have a storefront?
If your products are all natural, why do they all have warning labels?
Out of an over abundance of caution we want to make sure all of our customers are using our products as safely as possible. Some of the natural oils we use can cause skin irritation or have risk of flammability- these ingredients are used in very minute amounts so these risks are incredibly low. However, we want to be completely transparent about these potential hazards to our customers.
